Foreign Minister Igli Hasani held today the year-end meeting with journalists, with whom he spoke about the achievements and commitments of Albanian diplomacy.
After his speech, which listed the achievements of the past year and the priorities of the coming year, Hasani was asked by journalists about Tirana-Athens relations and the Beleri case, which seems to hold Albania's integration into the European Union hostage.
Hasani says that negotiations are underway between the two parties to reach a solution. While adding that efforts are being made to enter 2024 with open chapters.
"There are negotiations, ideas of commitment from both sides for a solution. We are continuing efforts to make Albania's commitment on the road to the EU clear. The priorities are realized so that all the work that has been done so far is in the organization of the intergovernmental conference now. We enter 2024 with open chapters and clear ideas for our journey towards the EU. In this process, we need to deepen the reforms and commitments and undertake those commitments that we ourselves have undertaken", said Hasani.
