Former head of SHIK, Fatos Klosi, while speaking about the Rama-Kurti clashes, came out in support of the Open Balkans.
On "A2 CNN", he said that he was in favor of this initiative proposed by Prime Minister Edi Rama, while adding that Kosovo or Bosnia and Herzegovina did not become part of them because they did not want to. He also had a debate with Aulon Kalana.
STUDIO DEBATE:
Kalaja: That gentleman has made no effort to have Kosovo recognized by countries that have not recognized it. Tell me where has he lobbied, my man? That is a simple question.
Klosi: Where should he lobby?
Kalaja: To the countries that have not recognized Kosovo or have lobbied against it at all.
Klosi: Yes, it's unreasonable. That's why I'm not saying I have any concerns about Rama. Now, it's unreasonable.
Kalaja: I'm actually telling you, I'm putting it on the table that no state has recognized Kosovo during Rama's government. You object to that and I withdraw.
Klosi: This also decides that Rama is...
Kalaja: One of the points for the Balkan mini Schengen was this. Do you have any comments?
Klosi: I have. I liked it.
Kalaja: Are you in favor? Very nice. So this was a Belgrade initiative if you want to know, if you like Belgrade initiatives. Very nice.
Klosi: I don't know. If there are positive initiatives, I agree.
Kalaja: What was the positive initiative without Kosovo, without Montenegro, without Bosnia and Herzegovina. What is this open Balkans without these states? So these are questions.
Klosi: Let me tell you, those countries didn't want it.
Kalaja: How come they didn't want to? Why didn't they want to?
Klosi: Yes, that's their business.
Kalaja: About Kosovo. Do you have information why the Kosovo factor did not want to participate? Do you have information? How does this not matter, the entire Kosovo factor is against it and you make an agreement with Serbia. What is this story? Now our policy with Serbia is determined by Kosovo, it is not determined by Edi Rama. He said I have a brother Vučić. Do you understand what story this is? Our policy with Serbia depends on how they behave with Kosovo. Do you agree with this or not?
Klosi: No, I'm not.
Kalaja: Okay. Then we'll go to Dushan Mugosha and Miladin Popovici. We'll go to the 41st.
Klosi: There's no point in debating you.
Kalaja : That's what you're telling me. So leave Kosovo aside and Edi Rama and Serbia out. I'm sorry now, what are we going out for tomorrow?
Klosi: I don't know what you're talking about.
Kalaja: I know, I'm coming out for Kosovo. So clearly. You're coming out for Serbia. I understand. I'm saying, I'm coming out for Kosovo.
Klosi: Ok. If you want, I'll say it with Serbia, I won't... But that's fine.
Kalaja: No, not with what you're telling me here at the table, what you're saying is that Kosovo doesn't matter. Now I'm sorry, what is this?
