This 8-day, 4 days before the signs and 4 days into the signs that are in their main outbreak, is the period when the child is most contagious. Before those 4 days, we have nothing to do, because we don't know. If we know that the child came into contact, in the nursery or in the kindergarten, he played and was in contact with a child that resulted in measles, then, definitely, all contacts who are in that group of nursery, kindergarten, or in that social circle where children may have played together, or families, they should isolate themselves and stay at home.
At the moment the symptoms start, high temperature starts, watery eyes start, conjunctivitis, i.e. reddening of the white of the eye, which is accompanied by increased tears. The child has lightning, there is a lot of secretions from the nose; there is a pain in the mouth, there is a sore throat and a "rash" begins, a characteristic rash, which starts mainly on the face, then goes down to the whole body. With that order, just as it starts, it starts to fade gradually, after 1 week, 10 days, even the "rash" starts to disappear. The sore throat can be significant and when the child is visited, we see some characteristic changes, in addition to this "rash" that appears on the skin, face and body, there are also some white spots on the inner mucosa of the mouth, of pages. So there are some white, bright, sometimes bluish elements that are on a very red background. They are recognizable signs, precisely of measles.
Also, the child may begin to suffer from gastrointestinal disorders; there may be pronounced vomiting, there may be pronounced diarrhea, there may also be touch of the lungs in the lower floors of the lungs, associated with bronchopneumonia and typical pneumonia.
