The dead body of Klodiana Vefa, the 37-year-old Albanian woman executed by her Albanian ex-husband on the evening of September 28 in Castelfiorentino, Florence, has left for Albania.
The burial will be carried out on Saturday, while tributes have been held in Italy for the serious event that shocked the public opinion in both countries.
"I just received a phone call from Alessio, Klodiana's son, informing me of his and his sister's departure for Albania, where Klodiana's funeral will take place on Saturday according to the family's will," said the mayor of Castelfiorentino, Alessio Falorni - Vala .
He added: "the solidarity that has developed towards this family is really great".
The mayor said that the institution he leads has opened a bank account to support Klodiana's children.
"At the moment what we have agreed is that this current account of the Municipality will be made available to direct any donation, which will be made available to them: IT94F0842537790000010299535. The reason must be: Klodiana", he said.
Klodiana Vefa was executed by ex-husband Alfred Vefa, who was found dead 2 days later in the province of Florence, San Casciano Val.
The police was notified by a resident of the area who had noticed a suspicious "Golf" car parked on the side of the road. Alfred Vefa got out of the car and walked about 50 meters in the middle of the woods, where he pointed the pistol at himself and ended his life.
