Politicians are using every day of the campaign with rallies, door-to-door meetings, spots, invitations on social networks, every space from which they also deliver continuous speeches with shallow electoral language, according to academic Artan Fuga.
"This campaign has been spectacular so far. There are many notes that seem superficial at first glance, often based on exchanges of jokes and formulas that sometimes take on comical proportions ," Fuga told TCh.
The reasons why the leaders of electoral entities have chosen this method of communication, in the professor's view, are characterized by the lack of depth of political reasoning with the aim of virality.
" There is a serious lack of communication with the electorate. The first is because information is very fragmented, especially through reels or other elements that appear on social networks, information that is 60 seconds, 120 seconds. I think that politicians have understood one thing that in order to have their message reach, the message must be as mediocre as possible. And the Albanian political class is facing some major transformations in geopolitics and the world economy about which it has nothing to say and instead of being silent, it certainly says secondary side things that will not be the problems we will have after May 11 ," said Fuga.
What worries Artan Fuga above all is the diaspora vote, which creates two voting standards.
" Unfortunately, the vote of highly respected, highly beloved emigrants will invalidate the vote of citizens in Albania. Secondly, the way in which the emigrant vote was organized is contrary to the constitution, to the electoral code, outside the secrecy of the vote, outside the control of each person voting for themselves, and I am convinced that this will be the Achilles' heel of measuring the results and measuring the outcome of the votes ," said Fuga.
