Journalist Elkier Bushkolaj has raised suspicions that Albanian criminal drug trafficking groups may have collaborated with the Serbian and Montenegrin mafia.
Bushkolaj supported the suspicion due to meetings that SPAK leader Dumani held with his counterparts in Montenegro and Serbia.
The journalist says that there is a high possibility that these groups may have also used the port of Durres for cocaine trafficking.
" The money from drug trafficking has been invested in resorts, tourism and heavy industry. There is a will that has allowed it. There are many institutions that have turned a blind eye. And then the burden falls on the police, the prosecution and the GJKKO. We have not had buildings over 25 floors in Tirana or in tourist cities. These are not justified. Cannabis empowered many criminal groups. It corrupted many high-ranking officials. We may have had cooperation between Albanian, Montenegrin and Serbian groups in Latin America. Montenegro has two dangerous clans in drug trafficking.
Serbia has some dangerous groups, Arkan's associates. They started with robbery and continued with drug trafficking. We also have many Albanians from Kosovo and Montenegro who are united. Is it possible that the port of Durres was used for drug trafficking. There are not even distributors in Durres ," said Bushkolaj.
