During an interview, journalist Klodiana Lala spoke about the situation of Albanian criminal groups.
Lala stated that in Bolivia and Ecuador, an Albanian citizen is being searched with a magnifying glass, but due to the special construction that the Albanian groups have, it is difficult to arrest him. She stated that this Albanian does not appear under his name in those countries.
" My biggest debate I've had with experts is why Albanians are so exposed when the entry port of Europe is Rotterdam. Criminal groups are family-based and gender-based, they are aggressive, they use revenge and they do it through the Kalashnikov. If a criminal group is destroyed in Britain, that's it, they don't go to trial. In a country of 2.5 million people we have so many criminal groups.
The authorities in Ecuador and Bolivia are looking for an Albanian whose name does not appear in these countries. This is protected because the character of these criminal groups and the way they operate ensure their continuity. Having 10 groups with 65 million inhabitants is understandable and having 10 groups with a country of 2.5 million inhabitants is difficult. I am inclined to see it in the light of the acts without exaggerating, the problem is that the country is at a critical moment and we must have cooperation with foreigners to destroy these groups and the history of Jan Prenga is one of the most serious", u said Lala.
