The investigative file against the former Minister of Health Ilir Beqaj is bringing to light new facts about how the function of not only the issuance of fictitious invoices to benefit from lek, but also the corruption schemes for companies that received funds from the Strategic Fund Management Agency (SASPAC) ).
Included in this chain was the GZONA restaurant, whose "de facto" SPAK says the owner was Ermal Kurtulaj with Ilir Beqaj as the ultimate beneficiary.
EUSAIR, which was the program where the coordinator was Ermal Kurtulaj, has received an invoice from the commercial company "Landways international" for 149,800 euros. The administrator of this company is Gazmend Haxhia. Further, following the transactions of this company, SPAK found that this company made payments to the G'Zona restaurant through four invoices in the amount of 44 thousand euros.
This has been described as a corruption scheme by SPAK. In the other case, SPAK has put under its magnifying glass, a suspicious transaction by the association FIAA (Foreign Investors Association of Albania), based in Tirana, which paid an amount to the GZONA restaurant that is suspected as a corruption payment.
Initially, 22 thousand euros of state funds were given to the FIAA association, while other transactions revealed that FIAA made a payment of 350,000 ALL to the GZONA restaurant. Both of these are considered corruption schemes by SPAK./ Top Channel
