Democratic MP, Belind Këlliçi, appeared today at SPAK, where he answered questions from prosecutor Arben Kraja for almost an hour.
Këlliçi, upon leaving SPAK, said that he had been asked about a peripheral issue.
Meanwhile, Report TV, citing sources from SPAK, has confirmed that Këlliçi was questioned regarding a case being investigated against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and his family members. More specifically, for Berisha and his family members, the investigations have been extended to the property investigation.
Sources for Report TV indicate that MP Këlliçi was asked about the financing of the Re-establishment Assembly, held on December 11, 2021 at the Air Albania Stadium.
As one of the organizers of this Assembly, Këlliç was questioned in his capacity as a person with knowledge.
Other organizers were Flamur Noka, Secretary General of the Democratic Party, and MP Albana Vokshi.
Investigators asked Këlliçi who financed this activity, who paid for its organization, whether or not the expenses were kept according to legal requirements and whether they were declared according to the law, Report TV reports.
The property investigation began in parallel with the investigation into the Partizani affair, a process that is already in trial, with former Prime Minister Berisha himself as a defendant for corruption.
Nuk do as mend as kalem eshte me se e qarte qe krimineli nga Vicidoli e ka financuar ate tubim ne 11 Dhjetor me parate e korrupsionit. Ku i ka deklarimet? Ne qofte se kerrici ka dore ne burg te shkoje dhe ai.
