“This is the end.” This is how journalist Artan Hoxha described the scandal of SPAK wiretapping of members of the Constitutional Court. Hoxha said that the wiretapping was carried out without a court order.
During the discussion on 'Çim Peka LIVE', Hoxha stated that if the Constitutional Court does not react in this case, then they have no further choice.
" I found it unbelievable because it seems unnecessary to go there. The Constitutional Court dissolves the parliament, and you go and wiretap the main leaders of the Court and what you wiretap them for. What is also important is what you wiretapped them for.
Practically with what we have seen, and the reactions this afternoon, and the reaction of SPAK, we are actually facing a case where for me, if the Constitutional Court does not react in this case, I do not understand why it should remain in office. Because there is no dignity and integrity left, because they have been wiretapped, after they declared the decision. On December 30, 2024, they declared that they voted unanimously, there is not even a minority opinion.
During the disclosure of the decision, they are surprisingly put under investigation and a criminal proceeding is opened against the judges of the Constitutional Court, during the disclosure of the decision, and it is said why they are delaying the disclosure.
I don't know of any decision from the moment the reform was made until today that has been made public in a timely manner, not a single decision, this is the biggest problem that Albanian citizens have, because years pass and decisions are not made public.

But to get to this point, to be wiretapped without a court order, there's no telling what else could happen in this country.
The Constitutional Court in this country has annulled the maritime agreement between the two countries and the pressure has been intense from all sides, and the court stood firm until the end and we did not hear at that time that the government of Berisha, Erdogan or Karamalis from Greece was not even pressured, but that court gave a decision that is still in force today.
Until now, the danger in Albania has been that the courts were intimidated by organized crime. They were not intimidated by the other side.
"The wiretapping was carried out and the investigation is being conducted by an institution that is a party to the process ," said Hoxha.
