Following the request of the family members of Egli Proga, the decision was made today to change the prosecutor in the case of the 42-year-old. It is further reported that after the departure of the prosecutor Vasjana Postoli, the case is being investigated by the head of the Korça prosecution, prosecutor Dhorina Theodhori.
Prosecutor Postoli changed the charge against the suspect Denis Meçe, from "intentional murder" to "negligent murder".
For the murder of Egli Proga, Denis Meçe is in prison, while the other three persons, Leonidha Guçe, Arjan Manellari and Voltan Shkulaku, are ordered to appear for the criminal offense of "not reporting a crime".
Egli Proga was raped by 29-year-old Denis Meçe, where the body injuries caused his death. Meçe is already under arrest, while investigations into the incident are still ongoing as there are suspicions that the incident was tried to be hidden from the authorities.
Together with the author, three other people were put in handcuffs, Voltan Shulkun, Leonidha Guçen, Arian Manellarin. They are accused of the criminal offenses of "Crime Impeachment" and "Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth". They were present when the event happened and did not report the crime, preventing the truth from being revealed.
