On September 10 of this year, lawyer Besart Logu was placed under house arrest by the GJKKO, after he was accused by SPAK of taking 8,000 euros from an Italian client with the intention of influencing the justice system regarding his case.
In the announcement, SPAK indicated that lawyer Logu received the 8,000 to influence justice officials, and not for legal services, as the lawyer himself claimed a little earlier in a reaction on social media.
The Special Prosecution Office announces that it has documented with wiretaps and footage the taking of money by lawyer Logu, an episode that occurred on December 13, 2024.
The investigation into the lawyer was registered earlier, on November 27, 2024, based on a complaint from his own client.
Report TV learns that the sum of 8 thousand was handed over to lawyer Logu by an undercover BKH agent, who was introduced as a relative of the Italian client.
The lawyer had promised to use this money to intervene with the prosecutor and judge in order to have his client released from prison.
Since December 2024, it has emerged that the lawyer has kept the money for himself and there is no evidence that he has given it to justice officials. However, investigations are still ongoing to fully document the case.
