Ilir Proda officially assumed the position of General Director of the State Police today.
He vowed to carry the flag of the state police with honor.
"Dear Mr. Minister of the Interior, in this solemn moment of the work of all generations of the Albanian police, as a sign of honor, obligation and respect, for the blood of the police officers who fell and were injured in the line of duty, in the name of to all employees of the state police, determined to protect order and public safety, to guarantee the strict implementation of the law, in my personal honor I swear to honorably carry the flag of the state police", said Proda.
He also made his first promise where he said that the new competitive processes in the State Police will be based only on performance and integrity.
"A thank you for the trust that the Prime Minister and the Minister have given me for this high office. Since we are in new competitive processes, I guarantee that they will be based on the performance of each leader, which will also guarantee integrity. No other factor will influence, for this I give maximum guarantee", said Proda.
