Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation have carried out checks in the apartments of several directors of the municipality of Tirana, including the apartment of the director of investments at the directorate of public works in the municipality of the capital, Ilda Qazimllari.
It is known that the controls were carried out yesterday where computers, documents and other materials were taken within the framework of the investigations for the Tirana incinerator.
In relation to this investigative matter, the agents of the National Bureau of Investigation arrived today at the offices of the Directorate of Public Works located near Durrës Street, where they conducted a search, taking computers from there and seizing various files.
Meanwhile, last evening control was exercised in the residences of three directors of this directorate, among them the director of public investments at the Municipality of Tirana, Mrs. Ilda Qazimllari.
The Court of Special Appeals decided to postpone for Saturday the examination of the appeal made by the officials suspected of abuse of duty in relation to the Tirana incinerator affair.
The former Minister of the Environment Lefter Koka, the former Director of Public Works in the Municipality of Tirana, Taulant Tusha, Namik Simixhiu, Bledar Karoli who are in prison custody, while Alba Thoma, Silena Tola, Sidrita Kopliku and Pëllumb Abeshi who are in house arrest, request lighter security measures, with the claim that they have not committed a criminal offense. The suspects claim that they have no opportunity to interfere and spoil the evidence, while there is no risk that they will avoid the investigation of the case.
