The opposition's protest in front of the Municipality of Tirana has marked tensions, while the protesters have also thrown molotov cocktails towards the municipality. The main leaders of the opposition, Belind Kelliçi, Tedi Blushi and Klevis Balliu, asked SPAK to arrest Veliaj.
Shortly after the protest escalated, two of the protesters were handcuffed by the police after pyrotechnic items were found during the controls.
The two arrested protesters were wanted for last week's protest, after they threw Molotov cocktails at the City Hall.
