After the scandal at the Oncology Hospital, the suspended doctor Alketa Imeri Pere, has told her version about this event.
Invited to "Top Story", she said that the patients showed her the photos in the news made about her, that's why she answered the journalists like that.
Among other things, Alketa Pere said that she has neither read the file nor the news in the media.
" The day I found out from OPGJ that I was introduced to the indictment tomorrow, I go that my colleague was absent, I had a lot of patients and a couple of them come to me and tell me that you have appeared on the portals. And then I saw my distorted picture and I said what's going on. My photo was distorted, where did these accusations come from, where did this rant come from. I apologized to the journalist for telling him who you are, but it was not broadcast.
After I left the court I found out that I was suspended, I continued to work while I was suspended. I haven't read anything from the file. That I opened the phone to see what the portals wrote, that I was busy with other things. I will watch the news in a second. The truth will come out, if Alketa Pere has the public against me, I never think so ," said Alketa Pere.
She said in "Top Story" that she never told patients to go to the private sector.
" A doctor with 30 years of experience who has saved thousands of lives. I went to work in '97 amid bullets, not even in covid that I stopped working. I have the worst relationship with surgeons because I told them not to take patients to your private hospitals. I sent a message some time ago to the director where I told her about the problem. I knew they took patients to the private. I don't know what to say about the punishment.
