The New Year will start with clouds and rain. Meteorology Lajda Porja said little precipitation and temperature increase up to 19 degrees are expected.
Porja added that there will be no snowfall in the northern or southeastern areas, but only on the tops of the mountains.
"On Sunday, the weather will be clear with frequent clouds until midnight. After midnight, we expect accumulation of clouds, where 2024 will enter with clouds and little precipitation. Monday morning will be rainy, although more present in the mountainous areas. We expect temperatures of 18-19 degrees. The morning will be warmer, an air mass towards the Balkans will bring increased cloudiness and moisture.
On Monday, we expect a change in the wind parameter. Monday there is little rain, Tuesday it will rain all over the territory. January 2024 ushers in unstable air masses 2024 quite unlike what we experienced from the last week of December. We do not expect snowfall because Monday will see an increase in temperatures from the lowest 2 to above zero degrees across the territory. There will be snowfall only on the tops of the mountains, while the cities in the northeast and southeast are not expected to have it even in the first days of January ," said Porja for "Abc News".
