Andi Bushati discussed the death of three-year-old Brian Spahiu, after he went to the dentist to fill some teeth and was put under general anesthesia by doctor Roland Xhaxho.
The analyst questioned why the entire debate on this matter is about the anesthetist, when in fact the child was sent to the dentist.
The clinic where the intervention took place constantly advertised in social networks and other environments, such as Rinas airport, the use of general anesthesia as a routine choice for patients, raising doubts that the sale and use of anesthesia was primary in this clinic.
Excerpts from the conversation:
Andi Bushati: Some family members have sent the child to the dentist, I don't understand, because the debate took place between the family members and the anesthesiologist. So I take the kid to get his teeth fixed. I also heard it in the media, sir, how much money did you pay? (turns to grandfather)
Guri Spahiu (grandfather of the deceased three-year-old): We paid twice for anesthesia, once 300 and once 330 euros. For teeth, 700,000 ALL.
Andi Bushati: Do you know why I ask this question? Simply because it seems to me that anesthesia has taken the biggest weight here and you have made the debate about it. If your deceased grandson had a problem with two molars and two teeth, when someone tells you about four teeth, you have to pay 1500 euros, I stepem and ask what am I doing? It's not that, the man doesn't save for the child, but where did I come in? In a country where they ask me for 1500 euros for four molars, I think.
Guri Spahiu: He didn't tell us from the beginning that he has 14. Before he took it out, then he told us that I made 14 teeth and two doses of anesthesia. I said what are these two doses? We had it for one. He has done everything in secret. If he had told me there were 14 teeth, I wouldn't have been crazy to leave the child there myself.
Andi Bushati: You could say, I had 300 thousand lek in my pocket, that's what we agreed at the beginning. I'm doing it for understanding not for money.
Guri Spahiu: 300 euros was like the way to the anesthesia, then the teeth scratching and mouth cleaning would start.
Andi Bushati: What worries me is that you go to the dentist and all communication is with the anesthesiologist. It seems that in business, dentistry is the secondary thing and selling anesthesia is the primary thing.
