Lawyer Romeo Kara spoke about the latest political developments in the country, focusing on the May 11 parliamentary elections, as well as the candidate lists.
The lawyer focused on Meta's case, saying that according to him, the Fredi Beleri case will be repeated.
"He thinks he can enter himself. The moment a person does not take the oath, it is impossible for him to enjoy the mandate. We have a precedent with the former mayor of Himara who did not enjoy it. I say that the Beleri case will be repeated. When the CEC considers him the winner and he takes the oath, then he gains freedom," he said in an interview on "Ora e Fundit" on ABC News.
Also during the interview, the lawyer commented on the hearing for Erion Veliaj, which was postponed.
"The trial is the essence, the procedure is to help the trial. There is no investment by the court in the veracity of the evidence that is brought to trial. They don't want to know. The reasons for which the arrest has been requested so far may have been added, but the judge remains to say. They should not think like politicians now, they should wait calmly. All audits should be brought to justice," he said.
The lawyer further added: "We must have democracy, we have stifled democracy and to return to standards, we must clean up this scum that exists today."
