Former DP MP Asllan Dogjani, invited to the News24 lunch program, while commenting on the serious event that shocked the entire public opinion yesterday, where a young man killed Judge Astrit Kalaja in the courtroom, claimed that the latter was killed by the state.
Dogjani said that the actions of the Shkodra police regarding the conflicts between two families, which led to yesterday's massacre, should also be looked at.
He said that Elvis Shkambi only fired the gun, but in fact the 'crime' was committed by the state through its inaction. Dogjani said that the first to attack the justice system is Rama.
"I want to express my condolences to the family of Judge Astrit Kalaja. I have known him and worked with him. Where I was director of the Shkodra Police. He was a judge in the Shkodra Appeal Court, a man who always delivered justice. It is about a conflict between 30 families, who entered that building with an agreement with the state. The one who claims to be the owner, dares to enter the courtroom with a gun and kills the judge. The judge is the state. This session had nothing to do with the foundation, but with a procedural issue. He did not make a decision in the good sense of the word to go unprompted by the statements made by the prime minister. When the prime minister of the country speaks, he says; a decision by that judge or this one here, is not fair. When the prime minister dares, what do you expect from that Shkambi, or another Shkambi," he said.
Asked if the Shkambi family was problematic at the time when Dogjani was in charge of the police, he said; "The uncle came out and said who will punish his nephew, will he suffer like Astrit Kalaja or the other uncle who threatened him a year ago, the actions of the police must be seen. How did the police not prevent this event. They not only have political support, but they have challenged the state, the police. Even in 1997, this did not happen. Such an event must be done and an analysis must be made of why it happened! Is the justice system really the problem? Astrit Kalaja was killed by the state itself. He played his hand, but the state killed him!"
