Dineke de Groot, the President of the Supreme Court of the Netherlands, has paid an official visit to Tirana, where she met with the highest leaders of the Albanian judiciary.
In addition to meetings at the High Court, she met with the Deputy Minister of Justice, who is also the negotiator for Chapter 23 of the EU Acquis, as well as with the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani.
" These meetings provided an opportunity for productive discussions about the role of the judiciary in Albania's EU accession, with a focus on judicial independence, efficiency and public trust as essential for advancing the integration process ," the Dutch embassy announced.
It should be noted that the Netherlands played an important role in shedding light on the SkyEcc conversations. Belgium and the Netherlands have brought hundreds of files on crime bosses to SPAK, and it is possible that this issue was also discussed in the meeting with Dumani.
