Artan Hoxha spoke on the show "Te Paespozuarit", regarding the cocaine traffic where our country often serves as a transit country.
Hoxha expressed his surprise that since 2022 no cocaine has been caught in the port of Durrës! He further added that criminal organizations choose the port, in cases where they get bail, as according to him it is much cheaper than Antwerp and Rotterdam.
"The fact that it has not been caught is a big surprise. In 2022, there were 2-3 shipments every month, coming from Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil. It led to a big problem at the port. From November 3, a container of BanaKing went through the scanner, it came out clean, there was information and they entered with dogs, they found that there were 17 kg in two crates. So it seems strange that for two years in a row it has not been caught at the entrance, but only at the exit. Cocaine is not produced here.
We had a case where the container arrived, they took it and took it to the outskirts of Durrës, after two hours they returned it. It was said that a quantity of crates of bananas were missing.
All this, or it has been tightened a lot and the level of security at the port increased, but this would be reflected in the market, but the quantity of cocaine in the domestic market is very high and the quality is good. We talked about those holidays that take place...
