Former State Police officer, Krenar Ahmeti, has joined the protest held in front of the Prime Minister's Office in Tirana, where he delivered a strong speech, calling on citizens not to withdraw from the protest.
Addressing young people in particular, Ahmeti used the terminology of his former profession, declaring that he would not leave the “colonel’s square” and giving what he called an “order” to the protesters.
"Don't let go of the front, don't let go of the front, because these are decisive moments ," he said amid applause from the participants.
During his speech, Ahmeti also spoke about his professional journey, stating that the Albanian state and citizens have invested in his training as a police officer, but that today he works as a driver.
"You all paid 3 million euros to train me. Today I work as a driver, I receive an early state pension. With the greatest shamelessness, they give me a pension to stay wise," he declared.
Krenar Ahmeti: As a former police officer, I have the agent (the son he carries on his back), I caught the agent. This was the kidnapper, he was gathering information for us. I will not leave the colonel's quarters, I give you an order: "Do not leave the front, do not leave the front, because these are decisive moments."
I've had my fill, I think about all the generations, what they've done to us in this country, it takes night and day in the Assembly. If we don't act now, this generation...
"Oh my Shqypni, poor Shqypni, Who shot you in the head?! You must have had a serious wife, The men of the earth would call you mother."
You all paid 3 million euros to train me, today I work as a driver, I receive an early state pension, with the greatest shamelessness they give me a pension to stay wise. I declare today, I will give my pension to two pensioners who receive 70 thousand lekë, divide it in half, share the medicines. That's all I can do. Men, wait, don't let go of my front.
