Former Prime Minister Berisha, speaking about recent events in Albanian politics, said that a similar conflict between the position and the majority occurred in 2014 due to investigative commissions.
In an interview for the show "Now", in Euronews Albania, Berisha said that at that time the solution was given by the European Commission.
Asked by the journalist Ervis Iljazaj who the opposition MPs are addressing with their action, now that the relations with the internationals are not among the best, Berisha answered that even the internationals have often made mistakes. He said that in this case the opposition MPs address only Albanians.
" Such a conflict also occurred in 2014, for investigative commissions. The European Commission has solved the problem, they imposed it on Edi Rama. I think the foreigners, the embassies have done their job with the statements they made.
I agree with the part that this problem should be solved by the Albanian citizens because the embassies expressed themselves and said their word. The European Commission also spoke in front of the embassies.
Now the internationals in the history of Albanian developments, looking at them realistically, have had success, but they have also had failures. The question is who are we addressing, we are addressing the Albanians. There are 40 people in the parliament who are resisting with civil disobedience ," said Berisha.
