The criminalistics expert, Ervin Karamuço, commenting on the mega-operation that brought about the destruction of Laert Haxhi's criminal group, said that the repentant Artan Tafani has been pursued by the police for a long time in order to discover his connections.
In an interview for "Top Story", Karamuço also explained the reason why Greece does not accept the extradition of Laert Haxhi to Albania. According to him, Haxhia has argued that if he is imprisoned in Albania, his life is in danger from his rival Aldo Bare.
" In the chronology, it happened that the person who came out of the currency exchange point with 30,000 euros of armed robbery, left and was passed by the cameras that identified him. The police knew that he was connected to the Lushnja gang. Lushnja does not commit simple murders. Being followed, this person went to an office where the parts of the cars used for murder were changed. Profiles for two other murders were also found there, the person was arrested for murder and there he spoke because he could face life imprisonment. The problem I have in this story is that he was an executioner and is now in prison in Ioannina for disturbing the public peace. We have asked him to come to Albania and they have not accepted with the argument that his life is in danger in Albanian prisons from other gangs like Aldo Bare's", said Karamuço.
