On May 9, 2024, journalist Baton Haxhiu entered the door of SPAK, masked with a hat, where he stayed for two hours.
After leaving the premises of SPAK, Haxhiu said that he was there to interview one of the investigators for a news story.
" I was going to interview one of the investigators for a news story. That's all I can say. I told you that I went in for an interview. I didn't have a summons. This has nothing to do with the summons ," Haxhiu declared before reporters.
The lie was as banal as it was offensive to journalists and the public.
Baton Haxhiu was debunked by Ilir Meta himself on Çim Peka's show, a few days ago. Meta said that Baton had been summoned about his villa in Golem.
Ilir Meta bought a villa in Golem in 2003 for 60 thousand USD. In 2006, he sold the villa to a businessman for 300 thousand euros. Then the villa passed to the name of Baton Haxhiu.
It remains a mystery how the villa passed into the name of the analyst, paid with 17 thousand euros monthly salary by an oligarch, paid by the incinerators, bent as a realtor of the dirty work of Albanian politicians as well as a UDB spy.
There are strong suspicions that Ilir Meta fictitiously sold the villa in 2006, clearing 300 thousand euros and that he used his confidant, Baton Haxhiu, to cover this property, just as it is suspected that Meta has camouflaged a property worth hundreds million euros in the circle of a group of businessmen.
"Prapaskena" has carried out a verification of the assets in the name of Baton Haxhiu. From the verification in the mortgage registers, it appears that the analyst Baton Haxhiu is the owner of a villa in Qerret. The villa is surrounded by a land area of 1446 m2. It is an asset worth hundreds thousands of euros, but that Baton Haxhiu has declared 80 thousand euros in 2021.
Baton Haxhi also owns some land in Golem.
However, Ilir Meta's villa, which he sold in 2006 for 300,000 euros, does not appear in Baton Haxhiu's name today.
In addition to suspicions of money laundering, Baton Haxhiu and Ilir Meta are also accused of espionage. The analyst is accused of being a UDB spy, while for Ilir Meta, in the last few days, documents have been published in the media confirming that Ilir Meta was paid 50 lek by the former State Security to spy on his friends.
Baton Haxhiu's question in SPAK about Ilir Meta's villa is also confirmed by Sali Berisha, who defended the analyst, on whom he had for years made serious accusations as a spy for Milosevic.
" This summons Baton Haxhija to the prosecutor's office for investigation. You understand my chemistry with Baton Haxhina, but I call him that you bought from a businessman, a house that Ilir Meta had sold to him. Is there a more shameful act? Well, you will ask the first buyer, but what does he have to do with the second one, or that it once belonged to the enemy Ilir Meta. I brought this example of how defamed he is, what morals this pervert has, how he uses the investigation and the law, on the orders of Edi Rama. And never forget that every second, every hour and day he stays in office, he stays in unconstitutional conditions. Out of 6 votes, the constitution determines that in the taxing way it should have been, it was elected with 5 votes and with great pressure. Resign and be polite, because the Constitution is not your morals, it is not your notebook, but it is the fundamental law of the state ," said Berisha. / Backstage
