Journalist Arbër Hitaj said that the divorce between Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi may have had SPAK as the main motive.
According to him, it is possible that Kryemadhi said something in SPAK that Meta did not agree with.
Hitaj also said that Meta has often been harsh, saying that there was political betrayal within his party and that when he returned to the status of chairman, after leaving the presidency, he found eavesdroppers in the office.
"Meta said that he made the decision after Monika spoke at SPAK. Looking at what Mr. Meta said earlier, he recognized a fact that he did not declare in SPAK that could have come from Mrs. Kryemadhi, or something from the phone. Whether the SPAK investigation or the verification that there was a crisis between the couple had an impact, I cannot say. I believe that SPAK has greatly influenced this decision-making.
Meta said that when he went to the office he found bedbugs, there was political betrayal. He said it himself. I believe they are basically related to the SPAK investigations. "If it was about the mandates, I believe that it is not the moment to make such a strong decision", said Hitaj in Euronews.
