The Rector of the University of Medicine, Arben Gjata, presented himself at SPAK today.
It is known that the rector Gjata has gone to the Special Prosecutor's Office, as the procedure determines, after the measure assigned to him "Compulsion to appear" by the GJKKO for the issue of "Sterilization".
We remind you that the rector of the University of Medicine, at the same time the chief of surgery at QSUT, Arben Gjata is one of the 8 names of the arrest warrants issued by SPAK for the sterilization concession.
A compulsory appearance measure has been set for Arben Djuta.
The same measure has been decided for Naile Ajazi, Genc Byrazer and Petro Mersini, former General Director of the Hospital Service at the Ministry of Health. The charges against them are forgery and abuse of office.
Saimir Kadiu, economic director at the Ministry of Health, and Marsela Serjanaj, legal director at the Ministry of Health, have been placed under house arrest.
The former Deputy Minister of Health Klodjan Rjepaj has been arrested, as well as the businessman Ilir Rrapaj who received this concession and is accused of fraud.
For three years, SPAK has started an investigation regarding this concession. It is learned that from the investigations carried out so far, it results that this concession was given in violation of the law and it is also about other serious violations.
