Deputy Commissioner Arben Pjeçi, who committed suicide with his service weapon in the Durrës police station, has been escorted to his last residence. Colleagues, friends and family are affected by this event.
The pain for the relatives is great, as they say that this event was unexpected. The 56-year-old is remembered as a hard-working, honest and calm boy.
"Unexpected. I know him as a good man. No one says anything, it was unexpected. A lot of pain", said one of the relatives.
"There is no better boy. I am the neighbor, the one with the cedar, the unseen one. We were neighbors, I was surprised last night, there was a big Seder ," said another.
"To be honest, we were surprised when this event happened. I have my niece's brother-in-law. I also know him at work. There were no worries, but I was impressed that he was very sincere, honest. The desert worked. The door was barely opened, they found him dead. He had shot in the heart", say relatives and colleagues.
A touching moment is when one of his colleagues bursts into tears, as he says that he had him as a brother.
"I have a lot of friends, I can't express myself. I used to take him here because I had a car, take him to Divjakë and go with him. I have him as a brother. I worked with him six years ago, I used to meet him here often. I have a lot of friends and a lot of brother behind him" , he says.
The operative shot himself yesterday with his service weapon after being in a serious psychological state. He was informed of the decision to finally remove him from the ranks of the police. The release from duty was signed by chief policeman Muhamet Rrumbullaku after a final decision of the Durrës court that sentenced the 56-year-old officer to community work for minor injury after a fight with a neighbor two years ago.
