The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, received this Wednesday the ambassador of Great Britain King-Smith at the offices of the Special Prosecutor's Office.
In a post on SPAK's website, it is said that key issues on capacity building in judicial cooperation with law enforcement agencies in Britain were discussed at the meeting.
"We had the honor of welcoming today Ambassador King-Smith, the well-known judges Dingemans and Picton. In the meeting, key issues were discussed on capacity building in judicial cooperation with law enforcement agencies in the UK", SPAK writes.
We remind you that British officials are developing a secret operation to stop Albanian crime bosses operating in Britain, codenamed "Crime State Nexus", which has been launched for some time by the United Kingdom government.
The project launched by officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Interior aims to expose and target corrupt politicians in the Balkans linked to organized crime.
Details of the operation were revealed in government court documents related to a legal battle over a decision to ban former prime minister Sali Berisha from entering Britain.
British papers also say political protection gives gangs more opportunities to launder money and means Albania can be used as a safe haven from which to operate.
