Analyst Ergys Mërtiri has commented on the current political situation and the chaos of the opposition. Mërtiri said that the opposition is trying to save its leader, Sali Berisha, but in this way it is burying the party.
Mertiri says that this is not the right way to overthrow Rama because he adds that the only person who benefits is Berisha.
"This political action, producing radicalization and conflict, takes the attention of the public hostage", said the analyst for "Vizion Plus".
The MPs tried to block their socialist colleagues from entering the Assembly.
The effort of the Democrats to prevent the majority MPs from entering the parliament was accompanied by tensions. There was also a physical clash between the democrats and the Guard.
But despite the action of the opposition, the speaker of the Assembly, the ministers and the deputies of the majority entered through the side door and only approved the agreements that were placed on the agenda.
On the other hand, the opposition burned 4 mannequins in the courtyard of the Assembly, which had the faces of Prime Minister Edi Rama, Olsi Rama, former minister Fatmir Xhafaj and his brother on them.
-Even today, the opposition created chaos by preventing a normal parliamentary session. Leaving aside its right to the form of reaction, how successful can the strategy of radicalization of political action be?
Martyrdom: Such a strategy cannot succeed. It has been proven years, the parliament passed such scenes which became funny and annoying. The challenge of any political force is to attract the gray electorate. The gray electorate wants the opposition to be a force that represents it, wants to see a new opposition. The opposition does not offer this view, it offers the old model that we have been seeing for 34 years and it has come to the tip of Albanians' noses. The opposition either does not understand politics or will not win. The problem is that by not being able to win he is not trying to produce the right image to win. They are trying to save the leader by burying the party.
- It seems that there is also a problem with the attitude of other opposition factors that are not united around the DP in its radicalization.
Mertiri: This radicalization is not against Rama, it is against them. This political action by producing radicalization, conflictuality takes hostage the attention of the public, it shifts the attention of the cameras and the media from any argument other than what this spectacle produces.
-Who benefits from this strategy?
Martyrdom: Sali Berisha benefits, who demands that all attention, even negative, be directed towards him. Berisha's goal, in the inability to defeat Rama, is to maintain the exclusivity of being the monopoly of the opposition. Rama and Berisha have made pacts that show that they are playing each other's game. We consider the stamp of the DP, Berisha has not been to the Parliament for more than 6 months and Rama saved his mandate, we consider the amnesty they did to save the corrupt of this government. This conflict is done to lie to the electorate, to say that we are at war with each other because there is no war here.
- The opposition says that there are imprisonments of its exponents, there is seizure of justice by Mr. Rama, according to her. In your opinion, what would be the path that the opposition should follow, apart from radicalization?
Mertiri: The task of the opposition is not to fight, but to do its battle in institutions and parliament. The main task to defeat the government is to reform itself, to give a different model, they are repeating the same model and they are keeping the same people who were previously accused of corruption and some of them are candidates for SPAK. They are proof of the inability of this opposition to be heard. Since their voices are not being heard, they are inciting a false smoke and flame battle that is getting them nowhere.
