Eavesdropping devices, Dervishi reveals the behind-the-scenes: There was a big

Journalist Ferdinand Dervishi spoke about the detention by Durrës port police of three Italian citizens who were leaving by ferry after entering Albania the day before and had a listening device with them.

But they were allowed to leave, even though they had no authorization to use the device. Dervishi said that it was a spying device that had been introduced into the country and there was a big debate between Albanian and Italian authorities, and then the latter won.

"There are people who have come from Italy, who work on behalf of the legitimate structures of the Italian state, the police structures, the anti-mafia, they have come, but we don't know the exact time.

I know that the event happened a few days ago, not two days ago, three or four days ago. It was kept quite secret and there is an information blackout.

It is not uncommon for such a device to be installed in Albania. That device, when it approaches an antenna, duplicates it, pretends to be an antenna, a telephone antenna, let's say that is in Dajt, and it pretends to be such, capturing according to them a number that they may have of a cell phone or something like that, or without a number at all, captures a certain traffic and identifies a certain traffic of calls.

It could have been used for two hours for a meeting like the one in Aruba, it could have been used for organized crime, it could have been used for politics, it could have been used for many things. There are many question marks.

Claude said twelve hours, but it could have been two days, a week, or a month here.

This device is no surprise. When we asked artificial intelligence whether these devices store information or transmit information, it answered that the information is lost, transmitted. So, they didn't need to keep the device because it doesn't matter to the Italians.

As far as I know, there has been a huge debate about whether to ban them or not. A debate that has entered, has entered political and diplomatic lines, very strongly and ultimately the Italians who allowed them have triumphed.

"Politics or diplomacy have entered between the two countries and there has been a pretty big debate and the Italians have triumphed. So, it is an interception," Dervishi told "TPZ".
