Alba Kepi said in an interview that Prime Minister Rama's statements that the Constitutional Court will accept the agreement for immigrants with Italy, seemed to him hasty.
She also said that the statement of Prime Minister Meloni, who said that she did not have a plan B if the Constitutional Court rejects the agreement, was disturbing.
“In that meeting, Prime Minister Rama stated that he is not preoccupied, but he is also sure that the decision of the Constitutional Court will come before March. Because according to him there is no obstacle. I perceived the same calmness from Giorgia Meloni and from Minister Tajani today. They state that they have no concerns, but in my opinion such statements should not be made, since we are an independent country and we cannot say for sure what the decision of the Constitutional Court will be.
Knowing the reality of politics in Albania, I find Prime Minister Rama's statement a bit hasty. Tajani today in a certain way expressed that he is not worried but added that they respect the decision of the Constitutional Court. these contradict each other. Another thing is that Giorgia Meloni said that there is no plan B, if the Constitutional Court rejects the agreement. There is no plan B. This makes me wish that the Constitutional Court respects the two requests made by the opposition deputies", said Mrs. Kepi to "Euronews Albania".
