After three months of travel, the Turkish ship "Moliva" arrived this morning at the port of Durrës.
The ship originally left Albania for Thailand, but the cargo was rejected by the authorities of this country due to its suspicious content. After the arrival of this ship, the Durrës prosecutor's office issued a decision to seize these containers as part of a criminal proceeding.
Chronicle journalist Glidiona Daci, invited to the show "Top Story" on Top Channel, said that the case should be transferred to the Special Prosecutor's Office.
" It will have to be decided how the container unloading procedure will be done. See accompanying documents. On the other hand, it worries me that waste in Albania is produced by Kurum. I think that the case should go to the Special Prosecutor's Office headed by the Ministry of Environment, in order to confront the institutions or officials who have allowed these toxic wastes to come out. A number of documents are also missing, there are also forgeries. Will the Durrës Prosecutor's Office be able to clarify the matter? If Kurum produces toxic waste, where does this waste go, where is the rest? ", said the journalist.
