Doctors, nurses, backroom staff and sanitation workers at the Korça Regional Hospital have not yet received their December salaries. For more than a month, and without any official explanation, over 800 employees of this health institution continue to be unpaid.
The situation has caused concern and dissatisfaction among the staff, who have been performing their duties for months under difficult conditions, guaranteeing health services for citizens.
Employees emphasize that the delay in salaries is directly affecting their economic and family lives.
It is reported that the salaries of these employees are covered by a social security fund that is collected at the end of each year. However, it is still not known what caused this delay or where the bottleneck is that has led to the non-payment.
So far, there has been no official reaction from the relevant authorities, while the staff is demanding an immediate solution and respect for the right to payment for work performed.
