Catholic believers in Albania and around the world celebrate Easter today, the most important event in the Christian calendar.
In Albania, believers were congratulated by the US Embassy in Tirana, through an announcement on social media.
"We wish a Happy Easter to all those celebrating. We appreciate the many ways communities celebrate this holiday and celebrate the spirit of hope, connection, and renewal," the embassy's message said.
The Easter holiday symbolizes the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the triumph of life over death.
