The Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party has requested, by means of an official letter, the General Prosecutor's Office to start the verification of the figure of the Mayor of Malësë e Madhe, Tonin Marinaj.
According to the Democrats, Tonin Marinaj: "is accused by the Italian Anti-Mafia Prosecutor's Office of being the leader of a criminal organization of international drug trafficking".

For this reason, the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party has requested the immediate start of the in-depth verification of the data declared in the self-declaration form by the citizen Tonin Marinaj, acting mayor of the Malësi e Madhe Municipality, as well as the reference of the relevant findings for investigations. further to the Special Prosecutor's Office Against Organized Crime and Corruption (SPAK), for the initiation of investigations for the reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of hiding data in the self-declaration form or other criminal actions.
