Analyst Skënder Minxhozi, commenting on the event of January 8, described the Democratic Party as a paramilitary formation.
Invited to the show "Real Story" on ABC News with journalist Sokol Balla, the analyst emphasized that January 8 is the last installment of the 30-year series of this political force.
Minxhozi says that the violence and clashes of January 8 are not a "product" of that day, but started in the 90s and later. According to him, the Democratic Party has never known how to solve internal problems fairly, but has always used the language of imposing the strong.

In 2004, the Socialists had a big schism that was consumed between two prime ministers. It didn't go to the nails or the tear gas. In other words, the socialists have many flaws, but they have not left a record of physical violence in the headquarters, while the genesis of this other political force is political money since the summer of '92, because that's where I see this kind of approach of January 8. It is not a product of that day, neither the one who armored the building nor the one who took the fire escape. they knew each other and knew that this is the code spoken in that building. The problem is that PD is a pre-political formation from the beginning, which means that they have not beaten the first faction.
PD has been a flower compared to what the famous motionists have heard who got the nickname broken chair that later PD and its founders broke their ribs and left them on the streets and this is more serious. Only in the 90s, all those who have tried to challenge the power of the master who took over the crowd on January 8, they have ended very badly. PD has behaved like a paramilitary formation at every moment that there has been an internal debate, it has not known how to experience the debate with dignity, it has not known how to be sovereign in decisions and it has always had the language of imposition. On January 8, I see only the last episode of a 30-year-old series where this party has solved problems with anger and violence and the imposition of the strongest. I have no respect for Basha as a politician, nor for Berisha.
