The Constitutional Court did not come out with a decision regarding the end of the mandate of President Holta Zaçaj. The hearing was adjourned to Tuesday, December 17, at 1:00 p.m.
Each of the judges will have to vote on Zaçaj's mandate, and as in any other decision-making, 5 votes are needed to declare the end of the mandate of the President of the Constitutional Court.
On Thursday evening, Zaçaj took a step back and declared the request to end the mandate in the Constitutional Court, after clashing with the Supreme Court, claiming that the mandate ends at the end of next year and not in March, as provided in the scheme of renewal, on a date that she herself had signed when she applied as a candidate for the Constitutional Court.
