The Prosecutor's Office's letter regarding Irena Gjoka has arrived at the Supreme Court of Kosovo. The Prosecutor General's Office completed the in-depth investigation into Gjoka's figure and forwarded it to the Supreme Court of Kosovo.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, the Greek court's decision on Gjoka is authentic. Meanwhile, the prosecutor's materials on Gjoka are being forwarded to the career development commission.
Yesterday, the High Judicial Council (HJC) denied having received any official documents from the General Prosecutor's Office.
In an official press release, the Supreme Court of Kosovo announced that as of 20:30 on January 20, 2026, no official letter from the Prosecutor's Office had arrived at the institution's address. "As soon as the letter officially arrives, it will be administered by the Career Development Commission and the relevant legal procedure will be followed," the statement said.
But this statement contradicted the previous announcement of the General Prosecutor's Office, which stated that it had sent not only the authentic decision of Gjoka's conviction to Greece, but also the act of archiving the Greek prosecutor, due to the impossibility of executing the criminal decision. Apparently, the letter "got lost" on the way and only arrived today.
