Tensions were noted during the Democratic Party protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where after the speech of the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, a group of protesters threw pyrotechnic devices and Molotov cocktails towards the building.
In immediate response, police forces, including special units and "Eagle" officers, intervened by entering the crowd and neutralizing the people who were throwing the tools. According to what is observed on the ground, the intervention was quick and coordinated from several directions, surprising the protesters and stopping the escalation of the situation.
The police intervention also led to clashes with protesters and opposition representatives. During the tensions, MP Flamur Noka was reportedly injured.
The situation in the area remains tense, while police forces continue to control the perimeter around the Prime Minister's Office, in order to prevent further incidents.
