Pastor Akil Pano and activist Mirela Arqimandriti debated the draft law on gender equality.
Pano stated that the 28 organizations supporting the draft law are pressuring the Assembly through complaints to international organizations to vote on the multiple gender law.
According to him, we are dealing with an LGBT agenda to introduce the "Walk" program into pre-university education.
But Arqimandriti objected, saying that this draft law is about the rights of women and men in the family.

Pastor Akil Pano: Then I said that it is one of the biggest speculations used by the 28 organizations that are co-authors of this draft law, the idea that it is one of the exclusive conditions for Albania to participate as a country with full rights in the EU, the passage of this draft law into law in Albania. Let me tell you that out of the 27 EU countries, only two weeks ago the countries that do not recognize the binary perception, but recognize a comprehensive and multiple perception of genders as in this draft law, are Germany and Malta. The other 25 countries recognize the binary perception of genders that is male and female. So we are dealing with a speculation of these people, who address international organizations inside and outside the country to exert pressure on the Assembly and the government of Albania. These 28 organizations have sent letters to the EU, saying that "we have faced personal attacks and attacks on the organizations we represent, especially from religious beliefs organized in the country and from far-right politicians." So do you understand how serious the situation has become? Religious communities are being accused.
Mirela Arqimandriti: Please do not include these. This is a completely wrong interpretation and has no connection at all. We have not included any of the religious communities. Do not say things that do not exist. This is not a statement, because I have read it myself and there is no such expression there.”
Pastor Akil Pano: Madam, if you want to impose yourself on me, I will not allow it either with voice or logic, because you cannot do it. These gentlemen do it with pride because they say the only option we have is these international organizations. They are asking for international support in order to carry out this cultural expansion, which is against culture, it is cultural imperialism. Essentially, this bill is a cancer, a foreign body that aims to destroy and disease the national body, in the cultural dimension, of marriage, of the body of children.
Mirela Arqimandriti: The law is a miracle. It is a law for justice, for the European integration of Albania and 83% of Albanians based on studies... You can't say it's cancer.
Pastor Akil Pano: For me and for 98% of Albanians, this is what I am telling you. If you behave in the studio like a man, I will treat you like a man. This is definitely cancer. If you have a problem with money and funds, you can protect them. Our problem is the children, ladies. It is the family.
Mirela Arqimandriti: The Albanian people are a progressive people and 83% of Albanians have said that they want to align with the EU. They want to be in the EU.
Pastor Akil Pano: Here is the article. Yes, yes, because the Albanian people are progressive, they value marriage between a man and a woman. And I will not allow anyone to practice gender ideology in schools. Gender equality education, here is the article. Let me say it directly. With Article 33, you seek to make the greatest expansion of the “Walk” ideology in pre-university education, from kindergarten to high school. You will teach us LGBT organizations, so that we do not touch women.
Mirela Arqimandriti: This is education about the rights of women and girls and boys and men in Albanian families. It has nothing to do with expansion. You are expanding, Pano. You are against Albania's membership in the EU.
