Journalist Xhevair Zhabina commented on the serious incident that occurred the day before, where a 57-year-old traffic police officer, Azbi Spahiu, fell from the height of a building and is currently in hospital in critical condition.
He said that the investigation is being led by the Tirana Prosecutor's Office and that the focus of this investigation is on the duty of the traffic police, while emphasizing that Spahiu was also questioned by the AMP.
According to him, the AMP can also conduct investigations, but it has become like a black cat for police officers, but in the end, the prosecutor decides on the case.
" First of all, we must say that the mastermind of the case is the Tirana prosecutor who has taken the AMP case under investigation. Of course, he can carry out investigative actions, but in the end, what matters is what the prosecutor decides."
Of course, the main focus is on the task that 57-year-old Azbi Spahiu, a traffic police officer, had, and she is the first to face the frustration of citizens and one of the most difficult sectors that the state police has.
He is a career employee and has extensive experience in the state police and dealing with situations, and the focus is on the duties this employee has had and the recent events he has faced in recent days, whether there has been pressure or not.
Another avenue that the AMP and the Tirana prosecution can investigate are family problems, but all of these will take their course after the evidence related to the 57-year-old and his family members sheds some light on the investigation to see where to focus.
From my information, the main clue is that this event is related to his duty due to several events that have occurred in recent days to see if they are related or not to yesterday's event.
"A testimony from Azbi Saphiu has not yet been obtained, however, it can be said that the 57-year-old was lucky during the fall from the building because we do not know if he threw himself or was pushed, he was lucky that his fall was interrupted by the cables and this stopped him from falling directly to the ground ," he said on MCN Live.
Zhabina further added that the AMP is an important structure in the state police and is there to investigate illegal runs that a police officer may have committed, which is how the AMP came into play, but despite its investigations, it is the prosecutor who decides.
" Despite this, the prosecutor, at the moment the report is sent to him about the actions recently taken against the 57-year-old employee in this specific case, orders other investigative actions that have not been carried out."
I don't know where the idea that AMP is conducting investigative investigations came from, but it can definitely conduct investigative investigations. AMP is the 'black cat' of police officers and when it goes and questions a police officer, the first thing the latter thinks about is where he has violated his duty.
What these actions have produced in solving this case remains to be seen. It has been almost 24 hours since this incident and we still do not know what were the reasons that the police officer fell from the height.
"If this is related to duty, this is a serious incident and there was pressure on the police officer, whether from investigations or other external factors. Therefore, these investigations must be carried out as soon as possible so that the public can receive accurate information about what caused this incident ," he said.
