The Albanian government has decided to withdraw the draft law on gender equality, following a wave of public debate and pressure from conservative groups.
The first version of the law, which envisaged the inclusion of modern terminologies such as "other genders", has undergone significant changes, diluting many of the original intentions of the responsible ministry.
But this has angered activist Kristi Pinderi, who, through a lengthy reaction, has exploded against Rama and Berisha, calling them co-authors of the chaos created.
" In addition to the frightening lack of information and the absolute impossibility of the Albanian language to translate the concept of "intersectionality" (three versions circulate, none of which is correct; an impossibility from which this inexplicable logical mess is built) in essence, the whole chaos with this law has only two authors, Rama and Berisha.
Now, to punish LGBTQ+ people, they are ready to throw away all the hard-won progress for women's rights, as they say, throwing the baby out with the bathwater!
This chaos is a big circus of Edi Rama and Sali Berisha. They agree on this, like never before. And
They do it to show the American government how ridiculously diligent these two can be when they need to be licked better.
The same clowns, in 2013, when Obama had won his second term and when the US was preparing for same-sex marriage, these two would call me and Jenny and ask us to go meet them and take a picture with them! Just so that Americans could look at them and smile at them.
