The citizens of Pogradec came out en masse to pay homage to the murder of 42-year-old Egli Proga a few days ago.
The family members of the victim, among them the father and sister, also participated in the tributes that are being held at the scene.
In a short statement, the 42-year-old's father says that they only want justice, nothing else.
" Only justice, only justice! The truth came out, that's all ", said Egli Proga's father.
The sister of Egli Proga also spoke during the rally, who said that she is looking for justice and that she will take this battle to the end.
She asked the witnesses of the event to tell the truth and the justice system to make the right decision for the perpetrators.
" This city has been silenced and my brother's life has been silenced, they will all go to prison, without any exception, like those trash who raped him and took his soul here, like those heartless people who sought to end this macabre murder with silence or with letters. I have only one request for those listening to me today, for the Pogradecarians, speak up, don't be afraid! Tell your truth about the bandits who took Egli's life, testify because they can kill your brothers if they escape peacefully, show who protects them, who are the criminals behind them! I ask from the justice system, lawyers, prosecutors, judges, this time there is no money, no friends, no interference and taraf. Don't make the mistake of kicking and punching my brother like the barbarians who will try to buy him did. I demand justice. Starting today, I call on the lawyers and jurists of Albania to come and defend Egli with me ", said Egli's sister Proga.
According to the investigations, Proga was raped by 29-year-old Denis Meçe, where the body injuries caused his death.
Calls for tributes were made in all the main cities of the country, Tirana, Berat, Durrës, Elbasan Shkodër, Pogradec, Vlore, Korçe, Fier.
With the slogan "against the mafia and fines", the citizens call for a protest in the form of tributes to the murdered 42-year-old.
