Rain, but also snow, and temperatures below zero degrees, in almost the entire territory of the country. This is the weather forecast for Friday, January 2, 2026.
The Military Meteorological Service announces that our country will be affected by unstable weather conditions. The weather is forecast to be medium to dense cloudiness with short-term sunny intervals along the western lowlands in the first part of the day.
Cloudiness will be accompanied by occasional and low intensity rain in most of the territory.
In short-term periods and locally, precipitation in the form of thunderstorms, while in the northwest area, precipitation with medium and locally to high intensity. In the Alpine area and mountainous reliefs in the east and southeast at altitudes above 700-800 meters, snowfall with low to medium intensity.
The thermometer will record low temperatures, especially in Tropoja, Kukës, Peshkopi, Korça, Berat and Gjirokastër, where the values will be several degrees below zero.
The wind will blow from the southeast to the southwest at an average speed of 10 m/s, while along the coastline and valley areas the wind will blow at speeds of up to 18 m/s.
The sea wave force is predicted to be 4-5.
