Journalist Sokol Bregu, while commenting on Rai 3's accusations, said on the show "Open" on News24 that the term narco-state used in the documentary was decided by journalism, not by justice.
Bregu said that we have proof that SPAK operates in Albania, and I don't think that the army in Albania is connected to drugs, if we refer to what "narco-state" means.
The journalist said that he agrees that politics can be related to criminal groups, including drugs, but he is not of the opinion that Albania is a narco-state.
" What worries the Government today are what Arben Ahmetaj from Switzerland says. It doesn't matter why he didn't tell Mr. Ahmetaj these. There is no evidence to turn us into a narco-state. The concept of what a narco-state is should be separated from what Ahmetaj says that the prime minister has connections with people or has met with people from the mafia ," said Bregu. He said that it is up to SPAK to investigate Ahmetaj's statements.
