Lawyer Romeo Kara says that 'January 21' is a state murder, as he believes that the investigation by the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK) should conduct an open investigation.
In an interview for "Tirana Live", lawyer Kara said that SPAK should solve the case thoroughly and face all those involved.
Among other things, Kara added that SPAK should start a property investigation for every politician.
"Of course it is positive. We have seen that politics has abused this issue so far, it has been used politically by both sides. The Strasbourg Court has put a dot on the 'i' when it says state murder. The rulers have created the impression that they have no democratic experience for protests. The evidence was destroyed, there was an unprecedented report between the prime minister of the time, the chief prosecutor and the president. The arrest of members of the Guard has been delayed. The servers have been damaged, there is new evidence, leading to SPAK, they are with the prosecutors who can face high officials. The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has not shown the integrity that a part of SPAK is showing. I think there will be good news. We will see this issue step by step. We hope that SPAK will solve the matter thoroughly. Therefore, we are building a state with laws, to guarantee our rights. The right to free protest was violated. All to be seen, cause and effect.
I think we will have investigations, but I thank this family, when there is determination, justice is not impossible in Albania. These politicians, collared gangsters, have taken this country hostage. There are Albanians, 2 of them who dominate Albanian politics with criminal acts, they are a destabilizing factor for the region as well. We can no longer wait for these people to have time, for these people to alienate the property, and to sell us morality from their offices or from the parliament, it can start with the property investigation. All politicians cannot enter politics without vetting. I don't think it's impossible to solve the case, this is a state crime, people should become an example. The details will be well seen. The international factor never outweighs the killing of people in protest.
