The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, held a special reception in honor of retired teachers who have served in education in various areas of Albania over the years.
The President expressed gratitude and appreciation for their dedication to educating and shaping generations.
The Head of State praised the role of teachers in society, recalling the difficulties and sacrifices they have made over the years. He thanked them on behalf of every student for their patience, kindness, and tireless dedication.

"This beautiful holiday in honor of noble people who have always served as an inspiring model for wisdom and dedication should also be a day of reflection on our commitment to valuing and supporting teachers in society. A society that values teachers is a conscious society, as only with the quality education of generations can a prosperous and sustainable future be built," said Begaj.

He emphasized that "March 7" reminds us of the great sacrifice we have had to make over the centuries to consolidate learning and education institutions, as well as educate generations with the beautiful Albanian language.
Recalling the historical significance of March 7, the President also focused on today's challenges in education, including the impact of technology on the learning process.

"A computer can provide information, but it cannot teach the values of life, citizenship and community living. An algorithm can analyze data, but it cannot inspire a child to dream. The teacher is and will remain the key factor in education. He is the bridge between knowledge and character formation, he is a guide to the right use of modern technology, a promoter of personal development and an inspiration to change the world."
