The European Union has reacted to the tritol placed in the apartment of the judge of Shkodra, Tonin Sterkaj.
The European Union condemns the attack on the judge, while emphasizing in the statement that the safety of the people of justice is paramount for the independence of the judiciary.
The reaction of the European Union:
" We strongly condemn the recent attack on a judge in Albania. The security of judges and prosecutors from threats is essential for the independence of the judiciary and in the fight against corruption and organized crime ," the announcement states.
Also, the European Union emphasizes that it fully supports the judges and prosecutors in Albania.
" The European Union expresses its full support for the judges and prosecutors of the judicial system in Albania" , concludes the statement.
We recall that on the morning of April 28, a quantity of tritol was placed at the door of the apartment of the judge of the Court of First Instance in Shkodër, Tonin Sterkaj, by a masked person.
